5 YEAR WARRANTY POLICY ON OUR OUTDOOR FIREPLACES
Foyer des Forges specializes in designing and manufacturing durable outdoor fireplaces made of steel and stainless steel for backyards, cabins, camps, and commercial settings. We create handcrafted products that will last a decade, and we stand by the quality of each product with our 5-year warranty! As a Foyer des Forges customer, our goal is to enhance your fireside experience with top-notch customer service for many years to come.
5-Year Warranty and Claim Procedure
The 5-year warranty is a goodwill agreement offered by Foyer des Forges to cover key quality indicators as defined below, enabling you to achieve the maximum lifespan of your Foyer des Forges products (some exclusions apply).
Disclaimer: FDF's 5-year warranty is NOT a product warranty and does not require you to register your product at the time of purchase.
A valid purchase proof from an authorized retailer or an FDF order number may be required to process a claim. Warranty claims must be made through Foyer des Forges, not through the original authorized dealer or distributor.
Do not ship or post any component for a warranty claim before contacting Foyer des Forges, as in some cases, it is not necessary to return the item. Our goal is to make any claim as simple as possible by providing quality customer support to all owners with valid claims. In the unlikely event you have a claim to process on a Foyer des Forges product, here are the KEY QUALITY ELEMENTS COVERED BY THE FDF 5-YEAR WARRANTY.
1. Fire Resistance and Manufacturing Quality
The 5-year warranty primarily covers the structural integrity of the device regarding fire resistance and the manufacturing quality of materials, including 1/8" steel, stainless steel mesh, chimney caps, hinges, and doors.
Fire Resistance - This covers damage to metal components by fire due to regular use. Products subjected to abuse or misuse may not be eligible for coverage.
Craftsmanship Quality - This covers the structural integrity of welds and the manufacturing process of our products. If deemed defective or damaged due to construction quality, our team will assess the situation and propose a reasonable solution.
The warranty does not cover non-structural defects that do not affect the performance or structural integrity of the unit.
2. Paint - Limited Coverage (45 days)
Due to the nature of our high-temperature enamel paint solutions, the FDF 5-year warranty includes limited coverage of paint related to the initial curing process, performed when you apply heat to the paint. Within the first forty-five days (45 days) of outdoor fireplace ownership, if the paint begins to chip, bubble, or detach from the fireplace, our team will assess the damage and propose a reasonable solution.
The warranty does NOT cover surface rust that may occur and can be maintained with Korzite Coating inc. touch-up paint.
Our limited 5-year warranty on paint does not apply to scratches, dents, chips, cracks, discoloration, changes in appearance of the high-temperature enamel paint after the first forty-five days (45 days) of product ownership.
3. Shipping Damage
While we do our best to ensure your package arrives safely by selecting proven shipping partners, shipping damage can unfortunately occur during the transport of your products under certain circumstances.
Carriers may be held responsible for products damaged during shipping. If your shipment is damaged during delivery, send photographic evidence to foyerdesforges@hotmail.com with your order number to file a claim, and our team will assess the next steps.
Abuse and Misuse
Products considered damaged due to misuse or abuse by our customer service team upon case evaluation will not be eligible for coverage under the 5-year warranty offer.
Examples of abuse and misuse include but are not limited to:
Burning hazardous materials (i.e., gasoline, tires).
Deformation/damage resulting from overheating.
Modifications and customizations after purchase.
Violations and breaches of local/regional regulations.
General physical abuse or intentional damage.
